Let’s show Rick Santorum that he should be sorry. This Mayday (May 1, 2003) please come to Santorum’s Pittsburgh office at Station Square, Landmarks Bldg, Ste 250 at noon and join RESYST in asking him to step down from his leadership post. We urge you to wear the spilled blood (paint, dye, fake blood) of our dead queer sisters and brothers.
SHUT DOWN Santorum!
Let’s show “our” senator how his constituents feel about his opinion on same-sex relations.
Speaking on a legal challenge to a Texas anti-sodomy law Senator Santorum recently said, “If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual [gay] sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery, you have the right to anything.” In response to backlash Rick Santorum stated, "I do not need to give an apology based on what I said or what I'm saying now.”
These remarks indicate exactly how interested Santorum is in representing his Pennsylvanian constituents. Santorum doesn’t seem to understand separation of church and state. If he did, then why would he spout such hateful things based solely on his religious ideals when speaking about civil laws?
Queer and transgendered teens are three times more likely to commit suicide and comprise 30% of completed suicides. There are very obvious reasons for this and hate speech and intolerance is a prime example. Hate mongers kill many more queer people because people like Santorum have no apologies for their hate speech.
Let’s show Rick Santorum that he should be sorry. Queers’ Manifesto
We are the RIOTeous!, a renewal of activism and humanity. To us colour, creed, national origin, gender, orientation, sex, language, specie or hair colour mean nothing except a celebratory rule of diversity.
Let us grab-hold and utilise all that we have available. In a world of free information exchange, we can seed our ideas, notions and actions for whomever wish to be inspired.
The 21st Century is a beacon, a genesis for humanity. In numerology, the 21st Century adds up to 3, the number of leadership and inspiration. We have the opportunity at hand to RISE UP! We shall live together as families. Break down the notion that nuclear is normal and the ruling moralistic and capitalistic regimes are somehow the true and only way. We will remember that God is in our hearts and consciences and not in our governments.
All spirits on this earth joining and loving each other can free the truth of humanity and nature from the recession of time. Friendship will lead to inspiration, which can lead to action. What we see coming upon us should not be a fight, but a love. An aggressive and passionate love to take back what is ours and what we can, once again, cherish!
Queer once meant odd, and then gay. Embrace Queer as a bohemian lifestyle. A person is not Queer because of zir sexuality, but for a love that we have for each other and for nature, and a remittance of all that stands in the way of this.
An Amerindian prophecy is calling us and we only need to follow in its path: “When the earth is ravaged and the animals are dying, a new tribe of people shall come unto the earth from many colours, classes, creeds, and who by their actions and deeds shall make the earth green again.
They will be known as the warriors of the Rainbow.”
