Why your revolution is no liberation!
During the recent weeks and months a spirited debate developed in different German left wing newspapers and groups about the sense or non-sense, the perspectives and the means and goals of the mobilisation against the G8 summit. Different German and Austrian anti-fascist groups started a campaign to criticise a wrong analysis of capitalism widely spread in the anti-globalisation movement. In the context of this campaign several public discussions and lectures were held, a special webpage was set up but above all reader was published that contains a set of basic texts referring to this problem. This reader is available in German and English and will soon also be published in French in order to spread the debate also across other countries. Check it out: www.no-liberation-reader.tk (image/png)

Geiger Counter Shootout At the OK Corral
"I told General Lee on March 19 to stop lying to the [Hawaiian] Legislature. And, I told him I would get him and I did on April 21 in south Kona with those high radiation monitor readings from Pohakaloa. And it wasn't just me, the citizens who have supported and followed through are the real strength of all of this. The media has to deal with these global voices now because they are the 'shot heard round the world.'" (image/jpeg)

Preparing for Martial Law, Part 2: Enforcement and Infrastructure
Whelp folks, I hate to be the pallbearer at our country's funeral, but I am here to inform you, in case you missed it on Fox News, that the apparatus for martial law is being quietly, but steadily, implemented. If one has been paying attention to the laws that are getting passed over the last few years we can see the telltale signs that we are getting closer and closer to such a scenario. Not only is this government setting up the legal framework for martial law, but they are also setting up the policing apparatus and infrastructure to carry it out. (image/jpeg)

Longshore Workers Honor Picket Line, Shut Down War Cargo Shipper in Oakland
This can be an important first step toward the mobilization of workers power to shut down the war machine, but that requires a sharp struggle against the bourgeois politics of the antiwar groups and union officialdom. The OEA calls for money for schools not for war, as if it were a matter of budget priorities, and the PAC poster made a social-patriotic pitch to “Bring the Troops Home Now, and give them the care they need.” Such “peace is patriotic” rhetoric is a staple of the UPFJ, but all the antiwar coalitions make similar appeals to garner support from Democratic Party liberals. Revolutionaries and class-conscious workers, in contrast, emphasize that this imperialist war must be opposed by class war. (image/jpeg)

Tomorrow: Worldwide demonstrations against the terrorist Posada...
The people's mobilization is important to expose not only the U.S. government's hypocrisy of its "war on terror" but its active role in backing the Miami terrorists like Posada for over 45 years. More important than ever is the need for us to raise high the demand of immediate freedom for the Cuban Five Heroes... (image/jpeg + 1 comment)

text How to get out of Iraq for just $450 million ThinkPeace 2007-05-04 9:47 PM
If Nancy Pelosi and Congress really want the war to end and U.S. personnel to leave Iraq, it doesn't have to cost $100 billion or even $1 billion. For just $450 million, Congress could hire U.S. airlines to fly all U.S. troops (and contractors) home for good, in time to enjoy summer with their families. (text/plain)

Terrorism Began At Deir Yassin
We are constantly reminded by our elected officials (and those who steal their elections) and the pro-Israel filtered media, of the acts of revenge that Palestinian and Muslim groups have committed against the people of Israel, however, we are almost never told about the brutal and inhumane acts of state terrorism that the government of Israel has been inflicting against the people of Palestine, ever since its inception. Is Iran Next? What can the average person do to stop a new war with Iran?
Marches, petitions, calls, and faxes to congress are important channels for political action, but what could possibly stop a new war with Iran? One has to wonder, are our congressional leaders even reading their faxes? A notable website called www.isirannext.org recently published over 80 names and organizations of people whom directly influence policy and the president. Maybe through side channels, average Americans can get their message through. (image/jpeg + 1 comment)
