text Bush Ignores America's Poor and Distressed, as Gas Prices Soar, Lack of Leadership Kills Gerhard Kauldtaup 2005-09-02 1:24 PM
As President Bush's 100th vacation was rudely interupted by the needs of his subserviant and disenfranchised citizens, suffering from an abject lack of leadership and response to the worst natural disaster to hit this country, Oil Company executives and Dick Cheney were giving high fives to the prospect of enduring fuel shortages and higher gas prices. The illegal War For Bush's Oil could not have done so much for corporate America. Even Bill Clinton must be happy at the opportunites presented for his wife's fundraising efforts. Let's not forget the opportunities to rollback environmental regulation to build more polluting refineries and to suspend pro-labor contracting laws. Even now, Bush the Emperor surveys his servants from the luxury of his fuel guzzling tax-payer owned and funded 747 flying circles over the desperate and dying. Republicans say "let them be" and turn their backs to the prospect of rebuilding their homes and city. First we destroy Iraq, now we can begin the destruction at home, or at least allow it to continue as The Emperor ignores all scientific evidence and thumbs his pointy nose at the real and imminent threat of Global Warming. This is the Night Before The Emperor's Fall !! (text/plain + 44 comments)

From September 23-26, thousands of people will descend upon DC to resist the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the capitalist war in Iraq. The Adopt an Intersection Campaign (AIC) is a coordinated, decentralized direct action campaign with the goal of interfering with the delegates’ ability to get to the World Bank by shutting down all or part of downtown DC on the morning of Sunday, September 25. This can be done by creating space for a diversity of tactics, not favoring nor condemning any tactic. Adopt an Intersection is solidarity in the streets, blockading for a brighter future.
