text FREE MARWAN BARGHOUTI! DEMAND HIS RELEASE, SAFETY AND PROTECTION! Zeev bin Natan 2004-11-15 8:50 PM
Palestinian Freedom fighter Marwan Barghouti is Arafat’s probable popular successor. Fatah Secretary-General (since 1994) and a key figure in both the first Intifada and the present Intifadat al-Aqsa, Marwan sits in an Israeli jail, sentenced last June 6 and serving five life sentences plus 40 years. Israeli and international progressives should raise two demands now loud and clear: for Barghouti’s immediate release from prison and for the protection of his safety wherever he is. There is a definite danger the Israeli government may decide to 'eliminate' him if they think he is the likely choice of the Palestinian masses. (text/plain)

text "Are USA Citizens Tired of Democracy?" A Response to the Presidential Elections Joyce Walker 2004-11-15 12:17 PM
Reprint with correction: Joseph McCarthy, not Eugene McCarthy, used threats to cripple the democratic process. With sincere apologies. . . . The public’s tolerance of flagrant violations of candidates’ and voters’ rights indicates yet another instance where sacrifice of individual rights has become acceptable, with the assumption, I suppose, that it will always be the other fellow’s rights that are sacrificed . . . There is need now to build a mass non-violent movement toward a single democratic non-national state, a “politics from below” for a sustainable just future for Israelis and Palestinians, forging bonds of ta'ayush (togetherness) in common struggle, the return of refugees in massive numbers – and inside Israel moving beyond apartheid ethnocracy and its oligarchy. RepubliCONS take Big, Stinkin', Nasty crAP on Our Voting Rights
Will the Democrats break out the toilet paper? Many Average citizens out here in unofficial America have a Bounty of evidence to expose and clean up the stench. This defecation was done in plain public view, and recorded in the public record. Since voting is the Right which secures all other Rights and confers legitimacy on the ultimate 'Commons' Our Representative Government-this bowel movement was ejected on the Public Square, so a charge of public indecency needs to be included on the arrest warrant. Or will the Flies-in the form of diversionary news stories eat the PooP before we can break the Scoop? Even Mother Nature renews and cleans up after herself, can't sentient beings with free will be permitted to ensure trust in this fundamental right to bear witness to the will of The People?
