SUNDAY -- Three dozen CMU students gathered indoors at the University Center for a brief feeder march. Earlier in the week, several had gathered for an evening of sign and banner making organized by the Progressive Student Alliance, and many of the signs were in evidence during both days' protests. The march stayed on the sidewalks and snaked along Morewood Avenue, turning right on Fifth Ave and passing the Cathedral of Learning. As it joined the crowd speeches had already begun.

A large contingent of the CMU students marched behind a banner reading "Carnegie Mellon Against the War," attracting more students who had walked to the William Pitt Union separately.

This IMC reporter also spoke with Carnegie Mellon Dean of Student Affairs Michael Murphy, who was among those attending the protest. Murphy said that it was "great to see so many students out." Many other professors and staff were in evidence throughout the march and rally.
