for pittsburgh indymedia: update on the 3 jailed victims from today's march and solidarity
To the brothers and sisters involved in the struggle that took place today and has been taking place on an on-going basis, I love you all dearly and have been honored to stand beside such a righteous group of people. As we rally, march and organize it is a constant source of pride for me to look in other's eyes - identifying a sense of purpose and resolution that reflects like mirrors from one person to the other...Today was another round in the struggle to promote the immediate and peaceful end to the war, and supporting our troops by BRINGING THEM HOME!!!
3 of our brothers and sisters were victims of unjustified police aggression today and were put in jail, others suffered the effects of pepper spray discharged with extreme prejudice against the protestors and anyone that happened to be near. As of 12:45 am the clerk at the County Courthouse informed me that all 3 had been released (it sounds like the county courthouse might be getting better at this!) Can anyone verify such releases and provide further information as to their conditions?
