Photos from the rally immediately before and after the permitted march through Downtown, part of the regional peace re-convergence organized by the Thomas Merton Center Anti-War Committee.

About 500-700 participated in the rally for peace and march today. Both events were organized by the Thomas Merton Center Anti-War Committee, with feeder marches sponsored by the Pittsburgh Organizing Group, Blacks United Against the War, and a group calling itself the North Side Concerened Residents.
Notable events during the rally included singing by the Radical Cheerleaders and the Raging Grannies and the Carnival of Greed, put together by the Pittsburgh Organizing Group.
