The shamelessly bourgeois Lucca Ristorante has been targeted by a campaign against Foie Gras, an expensive type of meat produced by cruelly force-feeding ducks and geese to induce disease in their liver.

High-class patrons enjoy "the finest of Northern Italian cuisine along with one of the cities most extensive wine cellars", oblivious to the anti-Foie Gras messages on the exterior of Lucca. Lucca has been the site of public protests by Voices for Animal Liberation. The restaraunt has also received other messages in the form of spray-painted walls and broken windows.
Three photos taken at Lucca on S. Craig Street, May 10-12 2004.
