Amy Goodman gave a talk focusing on the issues of media presentation of current events to a few hundred community members on CMU campus the evening of July 16th.

The event was a part of her book tour promoting "The Exception to the Rulers: Exposing Oily Politicians, War Profiteers, and the Media that Love Them." Both the talk and the book detail where corporate media programs need more critical assessment. The event also featured the Hudson-Hawk IMC video, "Independent Media in a Time of War." She received two standing ovations: one at her entrance, and one as she finished. She also signed books for people after the event.
