On Sunday, August 15, at 12 noon 300+ people rallied and marched in downtown Pittsburgh for "Healthcare not Warfare".

The Market Square rally featured speakers from PUSH, SEIU local 3 (Justice for Janitors), SEIU 1199P (striking Health Care workers), Black Voices for Peace, NAACP Veterans Affairs Committee, Thomas Merton Center, Physicians for a National Health Program, and Pittsburgh Organizing Group.
The rally was followed by a march through downtown with stops at the Highmark Blue Shield Headquarters and the Federal Building.

As several hundred marched for health care not warfare, a few Bush supporters joined the march. Their agenda was to support US war efforts and the private, for-profit health care system that leaves so many working Americans without health care access.
